There's nothing more worrisome than looking up to see water dripping from the ceiling in your home. You may even see brown spots where water has slowly seeped into the drywall and plaster over time.

If you live in Atlanta and the surrounding metro areas, you may have been impacted by January's heavy rainfall. While rain is great for many things, it is not great when you spot leaks from your ceiling or roof.

According to AccuWeather, Hurricane Idalia's "outer rain bands... will graze the area; humid; heavy tropical rainfall will lead to flooding." Thankfully most of north Georgia will remain unaffected by the dangerous winds associated with the hurricane.

Overnight severe storms with gusting wind, rain, and pockets of hail pounded the metro Atlanta area. Radar showed heavy downpours and there have been reports of fallen tree branches and isolated hail. The roof above your home is being tested to its max during the storms.

A roof leak can be a frustrating problem  to deal with, but it’s important to address it quickly to prevent further damage to your home. While fixing a leaky roof can be a daunting task, here are some steps you can follow to help you solve a roof leak in addition to the steps we will take. 1.
