Stockbridge Roof Leak Repair
This roof repair in Stockbridge, GA restored proper protection to the home by addressing a localized leak that was allowing water intrusion into the living room. The project focused on repairing a small section of the roof, reinforcing vulnerable areas, and restoring the roof’s ability to perform reliably under local weather conditions.
Project Overview
The homeowner contacted Dr Roof after noticing water leaking into the living room during rain events. An inspection revealed a localized failure in a small section of the roof, including compromised shingles, flashing, and decking that allowed moisture to penetrate the roofing system.
Because the remainder of the roof was still in serviceable condition, a targeted repair was recommended rather than a full replacement. The scope of work included removing the damaged roofing materials, repairing the underlying structure as needed, and installing new protective components to eliminate the source of the leak.
Results
The completed roof repair successfully resolved the interior leak and restored the roof’s watertight integrity. Damaged shingles were replaced with GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Charcoal, ensuring proper integration with the existing roof.
New StormGuard leak barrier, updated step flashing and headwall flashing, and replacement decking were installed to reinforce the repaired area. Exterior trim and soffit components were repaired, sealed, and finished to restore both function and appearance. With the repair completed to professional standards, the roof is once again protecting the home from further water intrusion.
